Is that possible? My uncle is giving me his double steering Stabilizer from his 83 CJ7 with a "universal fit" kit, which I'm not sure what that means. I haven't seen it but I just want to know if it anyone would know if its gonna bolt up or if I need to modify it some how.

Can they be separated so I can just use one? I'm pretty sure the shocks are somewhat new and mine is shot. I just don't have them money to fork over for a new one and if i can get one for free that would save me a lot.

a new one should be anywhere from $20-$60...
well as far as I know the CJ dana 30's can't be much different than XJ. take yours off and take one of his and compare them. if they're the same length and about the same size I dont see why not
for what it's worth, a steering stabilizer is a relatively useless thing to have. if yours really is completely shot you probably wouldn't even notice if you took it off and never replaced it at all
