Default chromoly 27 spline 4340 axles for the d35 rear

Summit has these for 259 with free shipping. Are they a good option for significant strength or a waste of money? An axle swap wouldn't be happening for me anytime soon but Im always worried ill snap an axle out wheeling. Lemme know your thoughts or personal experience

The 12200 shafts are 4140, not 4340.

The problem is the axle tubes bend and cause the shafts to break.

For $259 you could swap to an almost 100% bolt in 8.25.
