Default Lift kit?

Hello I am very new to the xj world and have a few dumb questions. First off let me say I want to put a 2 inch lift on my 2001 xj but don't have much money. I have been checking out budget boosts but don't know what all those entail? And also how much would a basic suspension lift cost me? Thanks in advance. Hope to be hearing some good answers from people way more knowledgeable that me! Thanks!

If you keep your eyes open, you can piece together a budget boost cheap. I scored 2" spacers, shackles and a set of take off JK Rubicon shocks for under $50 for all.

Does a budget boost require anything more than the spacers? And also does it change the way my xj will ride?

You may be able to get by using the current shocks but longer ones are recommended. The track bar can go where it came from. It shouldn't ride any different than it does now.

Yes, you will need new shocks, bumpstops will probably need to be replaced, but not sure with that much of lift.

I'm running a Rusty's Offroad 2" lift spacers and shackles stock shackles and have not noticed any major difference in the ride. prolly cuz the spacers and shackles provide the lift without changing the spring rates

Yes. You will just need 2" coil spacers and 2" shackles for the rear. Or you could pay a lot of money and buy a nice old man emu 2" lift kit. But the most affordable is the budget boost
