Default Cherry bomb exhaust. Where to buy

Heard these sound pretty good on the XJ's and I have searched a few threads. But most sites I have looked at do not include the XJ in the parts compatible. Any suggestions on where to buy a cherry bomb exhaust. Thanks.

I wouldnt put one on a XJ.

Had one on my 98 for a very short amount of time, and it sounded awesome, but the drone got annoying.

Plus youd be better off getting a straight pipe instead of a cherry bomb. Sound almost the same, easier to find, and cheaper.

Id personally go with a Flowmaster.

Looks like u live in WY... i'd just delete ur cat and muffler and pipe it all the way back w/ the same stock diameter... this way you keep your back pressure somewhat yet get a nice sound if that's what you're after...

I made the mistake years ago underestimating back-pressure...

I agree with underestimating backpreassure. Made my MJ run like crap.

Since its illegal to delete your cat, just do what I did. I took a few different sizes of pipe and punched it completely out. Or get a high flow cat.

If you do straight pipe it, dont plan on driving at the same RPM on the highway. Will literally drive you insane IMO.

On any flow through muffler like it get the longest one you can use it helps not drone as much.

A buddy of mine did a Cherry Bomb exhaust on his XJ back in highschool. Bought it at an Autozone I think. It uh, sounded, uh, cough, unique...

Honestly, it sounded terrible - like a slightly broken diesel truck. On top of that, it droned on the freeway something fierce. We lived in the same neighborhood albeit with about a quarter mile of distance between us. I could ALWAYS hear when he left or came home. ALWAYS. Clear as day.

To each his own I suppose.

I totally agree with you on the "unique" p.o. Put one on my xj, after the holidays I'll be putting a flow master super 44 on. Right now my highway drone drives me bonkers, but! It does lull my son to sleep!
