How many of you still make your XJ work for a living ? Post them up doing their thing.

My old girl still does jeep patrol, neighborhood watch and EMS duty.

Today's EMS action is the medical tent at a horse show (only one patient so far) with a a monstrous "EIGO"

Overdose

Maybe if my company needed a welder to go anywhere, it ll be an ideal candidate.

Welders probably need a bigger rig I guess. The point I was trying to ask in this thread was how many of us actually put the XJ in the work force. I see them around town with business signs on the doors occasionally but as the XJs get older and older they are being replaced. Before long, there might not be any besides recreational use.

The odd thing is, in my profession there seems to be a lot of XJs still in use in search and rescue, medic duties (non 911 stuff), dog handlers, etc. Even the medic coming to relieve me today drives one. Maybe it's just the lifestyle that goes with certain jobs that also matches with the love for the XJ ?

I'm starting to think the RHD XJs are being treated like UPS trucks, they never get rid of them and just keep rebuilding and repainting them until the paint is the only thing holding them together. Nice to see they are still out there going !
