I did dumb **** when I was a little younger haha. I wouldn't ever go that fast in a jeep again.

I don't know if you are my hero, or my worst enemy.

I have seen a Jeep with a bumper sticker that said "You may be able to go fast but I can go anywhere". I like that philosophy.

When stock I've done at least 115, speedo was way past the 100 mark. But that was down hill floored open highway. Sunday night around 2am, we were leaving a lil midnight muddin trip, and my speedo was reading 95(on 31s now). Once again, downhill and floored but on a empty paved county road.

I hadn't noticed a head wind but when I stopped to change my underwear it felt like it was blowing around 10 mph. That might have been the air rushing back into the big, square, 3-mile-long hole I just punched in the atmosphere behind me, though. Not really sure.

Underwear jokes aside, the experiment was completely drama-free. Besides a lot of wind noise my '89 was rock steady. Of course, I maintain it very well and wouldn't have tried if not for this and the completely empty, smooth highway.
last time i went out through the desert i was hitting 110 in my heep that was a gps reading. stock 4.0 aw4 on 31s with 3.5 lift and no sways. no wind though no hills or any of that. if there was i would have been ****ed. good to know that she has it in her tho. we were about 4k rpm

I had an XJ with 4.88 gears and heavy 33" tires. Got it up to 70 and it was screaming like a banshee and getting hot..

I bought my xj used and put a k&n in box filter on it. That's all I have done and its bone stock besides that, that I know of. I have reached over 125 mph according to my Tom Tom gps. I don't know why it's so fast. My other 92 only got to about 105 or so At almost 5 Grand. This one is at about 3850 rpm when I'm at 120. This is all on a straight stretch of flat highway.

I got mine up to 125 a few weeks ago! They really shouldn't be able to go that fast, but I'll take it!

Around 80 No doubt it goes faster but a solid axle, inline 6, 4x4, with aggressive oversize tires, shaped like a shoe box with a nose, geared for off-road, sitting a foot and a half off the pavement, with marginal brakes does not a 100 mph ride make.
My real car does that.
