I think the newer models are limited to 116 mph. Don't quote me on this.

Mine has done pretty well up to about 85-90. I dont know about fater than that but I have to have the window down or the door will shake really bad at any speed faster than 85.

I had my '92 Laredo 4.0 up to 95-100 somewhere around there, on a two lane back road the other weekend. It had PLENTY of power left i was going to push it harder but it's best to stay on the safe side.....

Most will top 100 easily but why would anyone need to push a non-aerodynamic box that fast? You want speed get a Porsche.

I have seen a Jeep with a bumper sticker that said "You may be able to go fast but I can go anywhere". I like that philosophy.

Just add more decals to get more speed . Ive had mine up to 105 and could have kept goin if it wasent for i was about to pass a place where cops usually sit. But ya between 112-116 seems about right.

If you guys ever saw some of the XJs' I recovered that crashed after reaching speeds above 85, I would bet you would slow down a little . Better to get there in one piece and not in a pine box.

if you want speed, get a bmw 325i from the "e30" era. mine did 155 like nothing and it would go more but i was scared at that speed.
