I own a 98 Cherokee Sport 6 cyl with 5 spd standard tranny 117,000 miles.
2x in the last 2 weeks , the truck stalled out on me . No gauge indications were out of the ordinary. After about 15 minutes the car started up, during the time it would not start it did turn over well.
Any ideas about what's going on?

Larry, it's a big possibility your Crankshaft Position Sensor is failing due to heat.

X 2 I had the same symptoms After buying a mopar piece from the factory (buy only real jeep parts) I took mine original sensor off and it was covered in mud. I probably could have cleaned it off and it would have worked fine.But the sensor was 80 $ or so.You might want to try to clean it before purchasing a new one.
