Well I bought my Jeep with cooling issues. My head was cracked radiator plugged and bearings in the engine wiped from coolant. After engine overhaul and new rad, hoses, t-stat, heater core, water pump, ZJ fan clutch and new E-Fan i dont think I could make it overheat if I wanted to stays well below 210 at all times. Even with a/c amd idling.

Neither the 94 or the 89 have boiled over. The 89 use to get warmer than I like, I got tired of messing with the closed system and converted it to an open system and it runs great.

I think some peoples gauges are less the accurate as well. My gauge run a tic above 210 ( with the hood closed and yes it does make a difference.) connect an aftermarket gauge and it right at 210. With the hood open it runs a tic below 210 on the factory gauge aftermarket gauge is 200. Only reason i know about hood open or closed is because i have been idling my Jeep lately working out kinks after an engine overhaul. Just saying if you are questioning if your overheating verify it with an external gauge.
