Thumbs up Cherokee or Grand Cherokee?

Which one do you choose?

(*Please use poll above to make your selection.*)

P.S. Is it just me or does driving a Jeep feel and sound like you're driving a humvee?

XJ! I love mine and wouldn't trade it for anything! Most of the Grand's that I could find were in rough shape and they wanted too much for them.

Irrelevant. XJ's are no-longer manufactured. Get 'em while you can and let the GC owners stare at you enviously (while they wait for the tow truck to bring it back to the dealership because the engine is in limp mode due to the empty winshield washer)!

I'm suprised to see the majority of votes in favor for the plain Cherokee and not so many for GC. Yeah, I can see how it would be more costly but I personally think the the bodies look slightly better on GC whereas the Cherokees have that classic look. Guess it depends on the paint color, too. Some colors look bad on certain models. Other colors make them look better and newer.

I'd love another WJ or ZJ (had one of each). All the brute of an XJ, but with coils & discs all around, and you roll in class.

I love my XJ, but like BustedKnuckle said, there are definitely some upsides to having a GC. Coils and discs would be badass to have stock...

What was that statement about a huvee?
When I am driving my XJ it sounds and feels like I'm towing a humvee.
We have XJ and ZJ. Mine's the XJ by choice. I guess GM stylized the humvee based upon my ZJ.

Voted Cherokee because which Grand or types of usage Wasn't Specified.

Grands are better DD rigs, Hands down, more comfortable. XJ is cheaper and easier to fix and Modify. Assuming equal budgets; DD only WJ or later Grand, DD/ occasional wheeler XJ or ZJ. If wheeling is primary purpose XJ. If Budget is were an issue: Then I'd go for the ZJ for my Wheeling rig, coils more flexy than leafs, and a V8 is available, only real drawback is the crappy rear axels they came with, D35 or D44A.
