cherokee branding removed?

Default cherokee branding removed?

Just recently purchased an '01 xj and after poking around here for a while i noticed mine seems to be missing the cherokee and jeep markings on the front doors and front fender etc. Did the PO remove them or did some lines come without them?

the emblems dont make it a cherokee i took all mine off except the front clip one.

I think it looks cleaner without the emblems. I only have the front grill one "Jeep".

yeah i actually like the clean sides but i would like the "jeep" on the front. Prolly just go get one and the local pullit jy.

in regards to the painting.... that is possible. its a prior salvage back in '03 and dont know exactly what had happened. possible they painted it then

The front clip was probably replaced if it was salvaged, in order for paint to blended properly the door badges would have had to be removed .

Looks like they where removed, when it got repainted. Silver (metallic) paint is the fastest paint to fade out. Of all the paint colors.

I did not think they where still offering the Lattice style alloy rims in 2001. Which look really, really good after they are buffed out. Get the build sheet for your XJ, and see what else it should or should not have. You might be surprised. http://www.jeep.com/wccsapp/universa...ull&category=U Fill it out, asking for the orginal build sheet. About 3 days, they will get back to you with it.

You can probably find the front Jeep lettering cheap on eBay.
As for the wheels, they are definitely from a late 80's or early 90's Limited model.

I might still have the badging I took off my jeep, if I can I can send em to ya in a bubble mailing if you pay shipping, ill check today. I know I shuld have the front peices atleast.
