I bought two of them, but from a different seller. I liked the spout better. Quality seems as good as any. I'll report back after I actually use them for gasoline.
You guys should look at surplus US military ones that are current issue. They're made by a company in Canada called Sceptre. This company also makes civilian canisters.
The ones issued to the military can be had on eBay for cheap, and are made out of durable polymer or plastic I forget. While the old style metal ones are cool, if you sent it enough the seams can leak. The new ones also have very tough leak proof caps, and they even have matching water ones.
I had 2 I used hard (used once a month, ratchet strapped to a roof rack through all 4 seasons in ME and NY, threw down from the jeep, etc), only sold them because my wheeling habits changed a little and didn't need them. Was thinking of picking more up..
Not one of the better one. Notice the seam is on the outside. The better ones the seam is indented and doesn't get in the way. The handle is probably tacked on instead of welded around like the better ones.
Got this one for $75 with carrier. Zoom up and look at the way the seam is folded in.
These aren't my photos as I sold mine cans a year but I'll be buying more. There's vendors on eBay that sold them (don't know if the still do) for $130 shipped for 2.
Saw a collapsible emergency 1 Gal. gas plastic carton the other day that cracked me up. one time use and they run around 10 bucks...kinda useless if ya ask me considering a real jerry can runs 5 bucks at your local hardware store.
