Default Chassis Saver vs Por-15???

Im trying to figure out what stuff to use to go over my floors before i patch them. what kills rust the best and goes further for the money? the floor has holes so i wire brushed them to get all the flake off and i want to stop the rust befor i put new metal over top. im just gonna patch using the structural adheisive and metal screw method. thanks

I always heard por-15 is very high quality stuff. I used some permatex stuff on my mustang and wish I would have used por-15.

por-15 is the stuff the bond it hold to metal is so strong that to close the can you have to put a plastic bag between the lid and the can before you seal it or else the lid will never separate from the can. The paint also has no Uv protection which shouldn't be a problem with your floors but if you ever want it you can paint over it with a rattle can of rustoleum. Around Michigan a quart of black will run you about 44 bucks, but it goes far and the quality is well worth it in my opinion.

Por-15 is amazing. I coated the bottom of my xj with it last year, then went through a rough Canadian winter with tons of salt on the roads, then through mud pit after mud pit in the spring. When I hosed it off underneath last month, the por-15 still looks brand new. I couldn't believe it. I used a coat of silver por-15 first. Then covered it over with two coats of gloss black por-15.

Por-15 is a great product.

I had great luck with chassis saver. I have been told by more than a few hotrod guys that they are the same, Just POR-15 cost more. However this is what I have heard and may not be correct.

If por-15 sticks to metal like it does skin, then I should be in good shape.
