changed radiator, jeep running too cool

Default changed radiator, jeep running too cool

so i put in a two row radiator last night because my jeep was overheating after long drives etc..it deff needed it but now its running at about 150 degrees is this bad? any ideas what the issue could be? i also noticed my fan runs all the time.. thanks for any help

Howdo you know its running at 150?

i was told a jeep running at low temps for a long time can make it run rich and isnt good for the engine

What thermostat are you running in it, that should be the temp it runs at, sounds like it is stuck open or there isn't one in it.


BTW all you needed was a stock radiator they work great if the rest of the system is in good shape.

It may be wrong. Get an infrared thermometer and point it at the thermostat housing to verify the temp.

i was thinking the thermostat..is that something that would be disrupted when changing out a radiator? im kind of a newb and helped my buddy do it, what about the fan also should it run all the time, because mine does.

Get a 52028186 thermostat from the dealer. Good place to begin.
