Question caytlatic converter?s

I have a 01 grand cherokee limited and a month ago it started running rough, now even worse especially up and down hills. Im getting 60miles 2a half tank, ive replaced the map and o2 sensor, spark pluggs and air filter. The o2 sensor and spark pluggs on the drivers side was black but not the passenger. I looked n seen that it was black in color instead of rusty like the other2. ?? PLEASE HELP ME OUT

You can't remove the cat. It's illegal and necessary for the proper operation of your Jeep. You need to fix the over-rich condition before it ruins the converter. And it's against the forum rules to discuss that here.

Post Thank you

How do i find out why its running so rich? That was 1 of the codes that i had when it was put on a diagnostic. Barometric pressure sensor was the other 1. What is that exactly and do ya know where its located? I couldnt find anything out about it in my haynes book.

That's the Map sensor. Which engine do you have?
I answered on your other thread. You need to keep things together instead of posting on two different threads asking the same issue.

The manual tells you how to check the Map sensor.

This says it's lean, over-correcting with an over-rich condition. http://www.wjjeeps.com/faultcodes.htm#0100

I copied this from a how to forum.

Inspect vacuum lines at MAP sensor and at Throttle Body. Repair as needed.

WHEN TESTING THE MAP SENSOR, ENSURE THAT THE HARNESS WIRES ARE NOT DAMAGED BY THE TEST METER PROBES.
Test the MAP Sensor output voltage at the MAP Sensor connector terminal B (as marked on the sensor body). This is done with the ignition switch ON and the engine OFF. Output voltage should be 4-5 volts.
The voltage should drop to 1.5-2.1 volts with a hot, neutral idle speed condition.
Test engine controller (terminal 5) for the same voltage as described above to verify the wire harness condition. Repair as necessary.
Test MAP Sensor supply voltage at sensor connector (terminal C) with the ignition ON. The voltage should be approximately 5V (+/- 0.5V). 5V (+/- 0.5V) should also be at terminal 6 of the engine controller wire harness connector.
Test the MAP Sensor ground circuit at the sensor connector (terminal A) and the engine controller connector (terminal 4).
Test the MAP Sensor ground circuit at the engine controller connector between terminal 4 and terminal 11 with an ohmmeter. If the ohmmeter indicates an open circuit, inspect for a defective sensor ground connection. This connection is located on the right side of the cylinder block, at the oil dipstick tube mounting stud. If the ground connection is good, replace the engine controller. If terminal 4 has a short circuit to 12V, correct this condition before replacing the engine controller.

All the codes were, P0108,P0132. and P0171. All of are reffering to the system being to lean. Could it be the fuel pump going out?

Looking up those codes on the above list, it seems to me the first one is the map sensor which could be causing the issues with the other.
