carfax
does anyone have a subscription to carfax who could look me up a report for a cherokee i am considering buying. It is a 2001 Jeep cherokee 78,000 miles automatic 4x4 stock, bigger tires new and new brakes, university owned vehicle, the guy wants 6150, do you think thats a reasonable price? No rust, clean vehicle.

carfax is not perfect, plenty of people have used it and found problems later (google carfax sucks) If you are really interested have a good mechanic look it over before you buy.

thanks
THanks for the advice, I am planning on taking it to a mechanic while I am down there, he lives in Zanesville and I am in Akron ohio so its a hour and 30 mins away and with this snow might be longer. I do not know any mechanics down there, I plan on asking him to go with me to a close mechanic shops and ask them if they can check it out for me and look under it for me and see if the frame and everything looks good and will probably charge me around 30 im guessing? Any advice on this? Whats a good national mechanic shop to take it to or would a small mechanic shop be better?
