Default bumperss!!!

I have a 98 and hate the bumper plus I'm lifting soon. Will the bumpers off a 1st Gen work on my 2nd Gen?

they are exactly the same. the only difference are the bumpercaps and those should interchange. What do you hate about them?

You could try this https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/xj...im-mod-102841/ if you dont like that just get the bumpercaps from an 84-96. I'd keep the97+ flares tho.

The bumpers do swap out, but you might need the mounts off of the other bumper I'm not sure.

P.S. This doesn't belong in the fabrication section because only things that are currently or have already been fabbed belong posted in there, not questions.

This belongs in Cherokee Chat. You're not asking a tech question and you're not fabricating anything so that leaves the chat section.

"How do I check for CEL codes in my obd1 Jeep?" Belongs in OEM Tech

"Hit a roadblock with my full width conversion... Help?" Belongs in Advanced Tech

"What are my options as far as bumpers for my Xj?" Belongs in Chat

"Just finished my roof rack." Belongs in Fabrication

"Can somebody help me with installing this Blackforest Industries Din Panel on my MK3 Jetta?" Belongs in Off-Topic

Hope that helps
