I still think that the XJ was the best Jeep model produced. I mean the wrangler/CJ/MB are all great but they lack a lot of qualities that the XJ has. I mean you mix legendary reliability, a cult following, surprising performance, and tons of aftermarket attention together and get an awesome SUV. I can't stress enough how the XJ should be brought back in place of the Liberty. I keep telling my mom who is head of Jeep's advertising (I'm not BSing you lol) and she completely agrees with me. Hopefully it gets brought back, I just hope that if it does; it isn't made cheaply, it needs to be up to the original XJ's standards LOL.

IMO the 4 door jk is the xj of the 21st century. Lots of soccer moms and non wheelers buy them just like xjs in the 80s-90s.
Hopefully in 10 years there will a big supply of good condition daily driver JKs for sale at good prices with lots of aftermarket support like cherokees are today.
Btw Wolfgang Bernhard is the man responible for killing the xj. He was an executive at daimler and killing the cherokee was one of the first things he did when daimler chrysler merged

even if they did bring it back it wouldnt be the xj we all know and love, all of todays stupid emissions and standards wouldnt let them be created again, look at the cars of the 70's and 60's, if everything was built like that again than everything would probably be practically bullet proof haha, if you ask me its almost as if car companies have downgraded alot
I can already picture what a new Cherokee would be like......
Good old on the fly push button 4x4
Ifs
V8 with a Hemi (That ****s got a hemi?!?!)
Lots of flashy plastics
I'm sure if they brought it back we would all find something to ***** and moan about, whether it be the overall design, or some small thing we would find it and curse it for all of exsitance. I can't imagine it costing any less then $30,000 if it did come back out. If it is anything like other Jeep remakes such as the "****** Tj" it will be a renamed existing model....yeah cool another $7,000 for my Liberty to say "Cherokee" on it sweet.
