I believe they call the Liberty in Europe a Cherokee. Still, the XJ is the perfect vehicle for a lot of us. With the new Pentastar V6, a light XJ like vehicle, perhaps with Rubicon suspension, would be a hoot. The new Jeeps are a mite ponderous. The Commander and GC are beautiful SUV's, but not something I'd want to go boonie hopping with.
The only models listed are Patriot,Wrangler & Grand Cherokee.
As for bringing the XJ back it could not come back in the UK due to EU emissions and NCAP crash test requirements.
Even the great Landrover Defender will end in 2014 due to this bureaucracy!!
