Heres the New "Jeep" Cherokee China. http://i45.tinypic.com/rthj80.jpg
http://i49.tinypic.com/s49bok.jpg

Probably what it will look like if brought back.

Or they would look like this: http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/au...amercon_03.jpg

I think The Jeep Cherokee XJ should stay out of the market, They would really ruin the XJs like they did the Grand Cherokee if they brought it back.

To me these are my Favorits, That I'll never see Again:
1970s Jeep Cherokee: http://images.wikia.com/tractors/ima..._Chief_S_f.jpg
1970s Jeep Gladiator: http://www.jeeptruck.com/sale/ad504/tn_jeep_03_sm.jpg
1984-2001 Jeep Cherokee: http://www.4-the-love-of-jeeps.com/i...ee4x4small.jpg

1980s-1992 Jeep Comanche:

1980s-2006 Jeep Wrangler:

1993-1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee:

1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee:

Also in that vote page you should ask for the Orginal body style, If you just ask to bring back the Jeep Cherokee, its more than likely "If they decide to bring it back" its going to look like a Jeep Patroit or Liberty, with the name Cherokee on it. And the Liberty replaced the XJ anyway. Plus The Cherokee name is still being used over in Europe the Liberty is called Jeep Cherokee (Read) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep_Liberty, So really the Liberty is the new Jeep Cherokee. What I'd say is if we all XJ lovers own a XJ then why we asking for another, I know because its new with no miles, but Alot of products I contacted companies about bring back the product, some did but was completely diffrent from the old product, and I don't think the owners of Jeep is any diffrent. Just my answer...

The sad part about it is that cars aren't made like they used to be. they are horrible little plastic bottles that can be crushed and recycled. The motors don't work or last that long and cheap as hell. You know why they use independent suspension? Because if they hit a rock or pothole on a solid axle it would crack the car and frame in half. People have become lazy, needy, and relaxed. No one wants to do anything for themself anymore. They just take it to somewhere to get it fixed which is half-assed done in the first place. Leather, heated seats, navigation, pretty dashes. It's all crap. What happened to our society? You know what my navigation is? My lifted hard-working cherokee that can take me to any damn place I want it too. And whoever said you can't make a solid axle vehicle ride smooth, maybe not as perfect as independent, but pretty darn close!

They make cars today so they dont have to do "cash for clunkers" again. They want people to keep up with new technology even though its junk.

I hear you, the new Cherokee parks itself, for the love of God how lazy/stupid do you have to be to where you can't park your car yourself?
And it even has radar to tell you if you're going to hit the car in front of you, again, how lazy/stupid do you have to be that you can't operate a car without radar?
And what the hell kinda wishy washy, metro-sexual, pretty boy, girly man needs heated seats?

you know what people rocking cars from 50s said about cars being made in the 60s? and people with land yachts from the 70s said about cars being made in the 80s? 80s eco cars came along and they only died bc people with land yachts crashed into them. 90s cars came around and people yelled they were POSs bc they had plastic body panels instead of metal. cars in the 2000s had "too much computer ****" and were "built to fail" but theyre doing just fine.

this thread sucks, get your heads out of yer butts. nothing like the XJ will ever be built again by fiat/jeep/chrysler or any other major manufacturer. sorry.

the 4.0 is an inefficient, noisy, heavy sack of an engine.
the boxy design is unsafe by today's standards, and doesnt make for competitive interior room.
solid front axles trucks are either 7000lb 3/4 or 1 ton trucks or NICHE vehicles like the JK. the jeep brand only needs one real offroader and the JK has been more successful than i think anyone at jeep could have ever imagined.

no one cares about what 250 crying teens and twenty-somethings think about the new cherokee... or any new vehicle. you know why? bc youre not a market group, and you cant afford what you want if they (the auto manufacturers) could make it anyway.

womp womp.

and btw... heated seats, bluetooth, auto start... are all AWESOME and youre stupid if you dont think convenience features like that are necessary if youve ever had them. once you do, you dont go back. and if you do, you think about how much you wish you had them again. i know, bc i miss those features from my 2012 VW that i dont have anymore. and all new cars have them anyway and you need those features to be competitive.

Well I guess the fact that I've never seen temps under 30 degrees in my entire life might have something to to with the heated seats remark.

I imagine a toasty rear end would feel good if I lived up North.

Heated seats in the dead of winter are amazing. Heated steering wheel is laughably great when its cold as well. "OH LOOK AT ME, IN MY FUTURE CAR WITH HOT HANDS"
