Default Body swap?

Noob here...I bought a '94 XJ 2 door 4wd 5 speed. The price was dirt cheap but the roof is really really weak, not sure if it's worth saving. (The front glass shows signs of leakage so I think it has rusted out the crossmenbers in the roof??? I found a '96 2 door 2wd 5 speed and was just thinking about doing a body swap. I own a '95 TJ and a '96 4 door XJ so this is a project that has no "need to get it done now" time frame. From what I "think" it really would just is be cutting into the floorboards to fit the 2wd/4wd selection lever aside fron the drivetrain swap, am I right?

Just a quick heads up, the XJ is a unibody. No frame, the body is the "frame".

The 4x4 shifter hole should be there just with a block out plate over i think. The rest will bolt it.You will be stripping the whole drive train out of one and putting it another one axles and all.

Yes, just swap out the drivetrain front and back. I think I'm just going to strip the '94 down to just the shell and scrap it, keep all useable parts. I may just drop the '94 motor in the '96 as well to get rid of the '96 OCB crap, plus the '94 only has 120k on it...so the odometer says.

Actually it's uni-frame.
