Default Body Molding

I am new to the forum, I just recently bought a 1998 XJ Classic and am in the processo of collecting the custom parts, a 4.5 Rough Country X with Control Drop just showed up at the door, Detour 4x4 is delivering a Backbone front bumber and Tailbone rear bumber and tire rack later this month. Right now I am looking for the missing door molding, anyone have any ideas where to find it other than the dealer?? Thanks

If you really want the molding you can probably find it at a JY. Personally though I would just take the rest off Thats what I did

I live in Bellingham WA so we aren't too far apart, is your molding in pretty good shape, I am asuming it is black, I would think it would paint easily enough

Maybe the guy in Montana has something that will work, or maybe I will take them all off sounds like a lot of work and a mess to clean up. Any of you know where a guy can get some nice seat covers that don't slide everytime you get in or out of the truck?

I read through some other post and it seems that most everyone is wanting to take the moldings off as apposed to put it back on, do they look better with them off, or are these molding pieces something that is always falling off?

Its all personal preference really. Functionally, they will protect your doors from shopping carts and idiots that park to close. I took mine off when I painted and decided not to put them back on.
