Black Plastic
I have been looking for something to turn my plastic black again that doesn't turn back in a week or two. About six months ago I used Bondo 800 Retore Black. It has made the plastic black, and stayed black all this time. I found it at Ace Hardware. If they don't have it they will order it for you, or you can get it at online their web site. You have to tape off the paint, and wear gloves. Gloves are optional. It does wash off with a little effort. Dies the plastic really well though.

Before I found this stuff I used Mothers Back to Black. I kept the bottle, and a sponge in a zip lock bag in the Jeep. That way I could apply it when ever in needed it. Which was about every two weeks. You have to put on a couple of coats of this stuff to get it really streak free, but it is worth it.

I tried everything. For the best results take the time to scruff it up tape it off and spray some krylon fusion. But don't forget the clear coat

But isn't there anything you can coat the plastic with to keep it from ashing in the first place? I spray silicon on mine every 6 months, mine are still black but I don't know if it's the silicon or I've just been lucky.

I got tired of trying to keep the stock fender flares black so I did what azxj did and taped it off, scuffed it, and rattle canned it. Except I used dark grey auto primer I got at Home Depot and $0.97 flat black I got at Walmart. I should have done it sooner.
