my 2000 xj sport is finally done. It overheated a few times in the past few months and after replacing thermostat and e-fan it was fine until it overheated again and now the motor sounds like a bunch of nuts and bolts spinning in a dryer. I'm sure it can be repaired but its 15 years old and has 207,000 miles......i decided to put it to rest. I bought a patriot which is nice but not as capable as the Cherokee but it suits my needs. I will be salvaging the Cherokee, I didnt put any aftermarket products on it except tires so not much to part out. Good bye cherokee
what patriot did you buy? have you been over to www.jeeppatriot.com? I used to have a 2012 FDII, not as capable off road as a cheorkee, but still lots of fun:
I had rocky road's 2" lift and 30" tires on mine with 1.25" spacer on stock wheels.
I really miss my patriot, and sometimes think about buying another, almost did a few months ago, but the wife's car decided it wanted to be on fire, so replaced that.
The Cherokee is already gone. Sorry. I couldn't keep it in the yard and part it out (HOA). I'm loving the patriot but would rather have a Cherokee in new condition with under 40k miles.
