Also if you're ever looking for any stock parts I always have at least an XJ and half sitting around, I'm trying to clear a bunch of crap out now. IE free parts...

I've been going back and forth between these two tires for awhile now trying to decide on 35's. after reading everything I could about it on JPmagazine I'm choosing KM2's
km2 http://www.jpmagazine.com/techarticl...2/viewall.html
MTR

I think I'll still try a set of the KM2's. they're supposed to be a little more light weight and have good road life. they're good on dry rocks so I'll find out for myself if I like them or not
other options were trepadors but apparently they're very heavy
baja claws got a good review but a low rating by JP and are bad in reverse
iroks would be amazing but are bad on the street
picking tires is hard lol. I've read good and bad about km2 and MTR but they're both very likeable and good tires. hard choice

I've had my MTR's since May. I have a few friends that run the KM2's and after wheeling with them on the rocks here I'm glad I chose the MTR's. Snow is starting to fall in the mountains so we're planning a snow run in a few weeks, I really think they will do great in snow. I can air down a lot more than the guys with KM2's, I've gone as low as 8psi without an issue.

I was at 8psi on rocks, I guess I should have phrased that better. It wasn't that the km2 guys couldn't air down to 8psi, they didn't bother to try. I plan on starting out at around 12psi in the snow and slowly go down as needed. I have to say at 8psi on dry rock I was using the hell out of the sidewalls and it's not even noticeable. I'm on 32x11.5x15, at the time I had stock 3.55 gears, I'm at 4.56 gears now.

I'm still running the same set of 5 I purchased in Dec of 2009 (mentioned in post #7).
I have 50k miles on them and they are a whisker from being at half tread depth.
They still ride great, track true and they have yet to chunk.
I've kept an eye on tire pressure and 5 tire rotated religiously at 3k miles.
If they ever wear out I'll get another set... next time in 35-12.50.
