Do a search here, On COG (center of gravity) You'll change your mind, Along with saving yourself a lot money (and headaches)! And after you decide on the 3-4" lift, Have fun!

Ya, ive herd some people that have 6.5 lifts and they say its too high. I personaly would got 3 inch suspension lift and 2 inch body spacers. For tires id go 32 or 33s in of course mud terrain

i have the 3" with spacers to give me 5" and i love it. if it was only me riding in it, i would like to go higher but since it is a family vehicle, this is fine. it has tons of clearance now and goes through everything i have tried it at

When you find the frame to mount the body spacers on, PM your adress to me. I'll send you $1000.

Do a max 4-6" lift add some 35" tires, net lift 6-8". 8" suspension lift on a XJ is a MAJOR job, basically a redesign of the vehicle and lots of cash.

Blocks go on the rear leaf springs, spacers go on the front coil springs.

Yes at 5" you need adjustable control arms, or Control arm drops, or Long arms and a new trackbar. You will most likely also nees a SYE and driveshaft.

yea i figured i would need the SYE and driveshaft, but would it be cheaper just to do the control arm drops rather than just get the adj. arms?

if you are going to 8 inches of lift, go with a long arm setup.
