This is my set up. Dayton Audio sub in a custom ported box that it tuned for 20hz. It sounds great! not the prettiest yet as i haven't painted it yet or designed a good mounting for it yet.

JL audio is good for Sound Quality. Also had some good slam if you have a nice w6v3 or a w7. But if you want slam then go with kicker or Orion or fibtl or some other big name speaker. I have a really old JL 15w0 in my Cherokee. Sounds nice. A w3 would sound a hell of alot better though.

Gotta get some pix of my buddies setup. Its all installed, but the finish work isnt complete.
00 XJ Classic
Kenwood kivbt900
Audio control eq - custom molded into the dash
Hertz 6.5" comoponents up front
Rockford fosgate 6.5" coaxs cut into the rear door
JL Audio HD 600.4
2 JL 10w6s in a ported, and tuned custom box
Carbon sub amp

The setup THUMPS! Its a serious air mover. Also did 0 AWG wiring, and the big 3.

Pioneer head unit
Kenwood comps w/cross overs up front
Rockford Fosgate comps in rear doors
2 farad capacitor
2 Alpine V-Power 500 watt amps
2 Alpine Type R 10" 500 watt subs in custom sub box
As of right now, I'm running 1000 watts.

The 2 farad cap under the driver side back seat...

The 2 Alpine amps powering the 2 Alpine Type R 10" subs...

I need to get one more of those Alpine V-Power amps to supplement the comp speakers in the doors. Also, at some point I want to replace the 10" subs with 12"s. Listening to my metal through this system is like being front and center at a concert...it KICKS

That's not a good deal anyway. I wouldn't give him half that. I got my 2 12" cadence wild beasts (700w rms), 1200w cadence amp, 2 5x7 cadence 2-ways, a cadence power capacitor, and a giant professionally built ported box for $300.

Looove JL Audio. Gotta pick up some speakers, though. I'm running some decent Polk's, but turn the volume up high and they sound terrible.
