Default Bad peeling on 92 Cherokeee...

Hi all.
Going to be doing the bodywork on my Cherokee
sometime soon. The rust is almost non existent so it
should be an easy job.
When I really look at the body the strange peeling
of the clearcoat was really bad.
Is it true that this was common for Cherokee's
of that year? Here's a shot.

Ugh, I'll trade you the peeling for the rust and LACK of Jeep that I have on the bottom of the frame.

Automotive paint formulas were re-done in the late 80s-early 90s to be more environmentally friendly (low VOC). There were at least a few years in there where peeling seemed to be more frequent.

I've seen it on GMs, Chryslers (and Jeeps) all in the same age range.

The peeling is everywhere like this.
It's too bad as I would have left the paint job as
is otherwise.
