Default Bad gas mileage

I have **** for gas mileage....
What could be wrong? it all started after my check engine light went on but everything seems to be fine

check your o2 sensors. they can make a big difference in mpg's

Don't assume everything is fine. Have the code read and go from there.

code reader, autozone, cghecker and i believe advanced auto all do it for free, then go from there, more than likely an o2 senser

where is the O2 senor on a 95 cherokee?

check your tire pressure, change the o2 sensors, roll your windows up, put smaller tires on..........

Of course your going to have bad gas mileage. 3" lift adds alot of wind resisstance, 31" tires, motor is working harder with lower rpm's to acheive the same desired speed. Not to mention they are not good at gas mpg's, to begin with. Try a header, High flo cat, bored TB, and different injectors.
