Hello All,
Since Ive owned my GC I've replaced my right rear, what i understood to be axle seal, but after about 1k miles worth of trips i noticed diff fluid on the inside right rear tire. Now when I took the wheel off and removed the axle my just replaced seal/(large o ring) is still in tact. Im confused? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

 

Has the bearing worn a groove on the axle or is the bearing worn out?

 

The bearing seemed fine, no play, quiet. I didn't notice any grooves, but i will check and get back.

 

Axle could be slightly warped. Not enough to do significant damage to the bearing but enough to let diff juice slip by the seal. I have this issue on my Camaro but waiting on disc brake swap parts to swap axles/bearings/seals
