ax15 or poopteo ba 10/5
I have a march built 1989 cherokee 5 speed. It appears to be a ax15 to me but, I'm not an expert. I tryed doin a lot of research and from what I've found, it looks like a ax15 but, what are things I can look for on the bottom and sides to tell? It appears the trans is a 3 piece as in, big front (not the bell housing), small center and medium size end, if that helps any.

Sounds like you've got the AX-15. If it's split longwise, it's fairly obvious. And yes, you'd see the case half screw heads on the bottom of the case going crosswise.
SWEET! Looks like I lucked out on that :-). Mine is the ax15. Thanks for all the help and pictures. Now I just need to get my lift. I got 33" toyo mt's brand new just chillin waitin for the lift of choice.
