Not sure if the op is talking about the 27 or 29 spline but Spartan doesent make a 8.25 29 spline. If they did i would have one already

I just emailed Aussie about this last week, here's their response:

The Chrysler 8.25 is in the late March manufacturing schedule.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Any reason to back this up? I was under the impression the Aussies were solid.

Because aussie is always out of stock. The spartan's are just as good.

Yeah. But what happens is everyone waits for the aussies to come in stock and when they do, there all gone really quick or all the dealers start to raise their price because of the high demand. So if you get lucky, you will get one for the price that its at right now. I would prefer an aussie, but ill probably end up with a spartan unless aussie gets them and stock and keeps them in stock.

Good point. Try to get one at the end of march/early april since the rep said they'd be manufacturing more then. I'm still a ways out before I get a locker, so I'll see what's available in 6 months or so.

I also had E-mailed Aussie & got the same late March availability response.

That should work nicely for my tax return!

I just put a Spartan in my front axle, after days of reading debates of Aussie vs Spartan. I chose the Spartan over the Aussie, because of the hardened crosspin. I'm extremely impressed so far with the Spartan, and I'll be putting one in my extra 8.25 when I swap out my dana 35. IMO, its personal preference. they both are pretty much the same thing.

i had been looking for an aussie for my 29 spline 8.25 for months! I finally found a used one on ebay a few months ago and bought it. They are very impressive, I have put mine through hell on 33's and its held up spectacular! +1 for aussie.

They said when i emailed awhile ago they were having troubles getting the metals needed to make them and had no clue when they were coming in stock. Glad to hear they have dates now,
