Yes, that's how they adjust that from the factory but they're triangle spacers with slots.

Sweet, my passenger side closes and even lines up better now but my drivers has play but washers kinda helped

They're not structural, but they do provide rigidity the same way that frame stiffeners would. The doors do help limit unibody twisting, but not enough that having the doors off for months at a time is going to stress the unibody anymore noticeably. If you're wheeling enough to stress the unibody that much you need stiffeners anyway.
