Default Anyone noticed this?

I'm working on an idea for a mod which I will post in the mod section but was examining my air box an noticed this stamping in the underside of the cover.Never noticed it before but like most I just lift the cover up enough to pull the filter and replace. The few times I've had cover off just didn't look closely.

At first thought it might be a way off keeping track of last time filter was replaced but it's just a stamping and what looks like dials don't move. Just a curiosity at this point. Did a quick search and didn't see any write ups.

You'll see symbols like that on a lot of the parts on cars. It's a way to track when the part was made, including the day and shift.

Just a guess, but I'm going to say it's a date code from the factory that made the box, and which shift did it. The 3 on top are obvious, the bottom one has a 1 and a 3, pointing to the 3, indicating 3rd shift. Second shift would be straight up on the dial. Yeah. That sounds feasible, LOL

I had thought similar but it seemed like the long way around the block for that purpose. A simple code stamp would've sufficed and I couldn't figure the bottom dial. Thnx
