Anyone know how to fabricate this shifter to work with an auto? someone on naxja from what it sounds like has made the lever on the grenade work like the button on the stock shifter. Any ideas on how this could be done?
Here's the shifter.

I could see making it work if the pin was pulled and you squeeze the level to release the shift lock...
would need to have one in hand to get my thoughts around it (buy one for me and i'll do it up
) I have '98 Auto with tee shifter side button

i did it with an old jeep of mine some time ago but with a chromed out grenade from autozone

except mine was setup as a "pull lever away" from the grenade to engage the shift lock...
i drilled out the hole that the pull pin went through so it had a little more pivot room... major PITA to get it to work, spent about 30 mins just adjusting fitment so it engaged enough to work, but then not too much to where the shift lock is always engaged so it'll fall through all gears (lmao like from drive to reverse at 30 mph
)
but with the one they used, looks like; remove the pull pin and it pivots on the hinge then finess the shift lock spacer with something to connect between the shift lock spacer and the palm plate on the grenade...
