Anyone Buy A Grand Cherokee With A Friggin Manual?
Sorry if sounding harsh? But am frustrated with JEEP in getting a manual for my 2015 Grand Cherokee. Short history: At time of purchase, salesman said there is not glove box manual, just a CD. I thought at the time sh*t, that`s a bad idea, but like many things in todays world, I put the idea on my WTF list. Fast forward from time of purchase spring of 2016 to fall of 2017 and I`m back in the same dealer buying another Jeep, a Wrangler this time and WHALLA, a glove box manual in the glove box! I`m thinking nice, what happened to the CD idea, but glad to have a manual as all cars have had since the model T. Not giving it too much more thought for another year I need *or at least would like) the manual for the Grand Cherokee to do some maintenance, and my frustration again begins. Called FCA over two months ago and girl says to me I should have got one, basically my dealer was wrong and she would get it right out. Waited over two months with nothing and start a CHAT with another girl that was all over the map with they have no record of my conversation/manual was not available/there is one now not before/People like CDs not paper/ etc, etc. Bottom line she will get one to me but I need to wait 20 business days, more for the holidays.
I realize this is a stupid thread but, all you owners out there, do you have a glove box manual? For what it`s worth, maybe I`m showing my age, I`d like to think I`m showing my intelligence, I prefer the manual to the CD.

I would rather have a hardcopy, than a cd, to keep in the glovebox. If you get stuck on the side of the road, and no laptop to read said cd, that cd isnt worth jack. Not everyone owns a laptop, either. With a hardcopy, you open the glovebox and there you go. BTW, my moms 2018 Grand didnt come with an owners manual, and she bought it fresh off the lot. She has to order the manual if she wants it. Or download the PDF. Says Chrysler. Spend over 30 grand on a new vehicle and it doesnt even come with an owners manual. Nope. That costs extra lol.

After two tries contacting FCA, 3 months and a bunch of contradictory information, I got the manual. I guess someway, somehow it`s in the manufacturer's interest to stop supplying them.
Hey, with GPS`s being around for 20 years now, the younger generations stopped using maps or even understand how to use one!

I bought my '14 GC pre-owned from a used car dealer, and it didn't include the full manual, only the DVD disc, a Quick Start Guide, information about SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and I think a maintenance log, all in the canvas case. To buy the full 400+-page owner's manual online, it's at least $75.00 (on eBay, it's even more at the dealer). Not really worth it IMO, and unless you can find a dealer that'll print all 400+ pages for you (very unlikely), it's best to just download the PDF from Jeep's website, maybe print off only the pages you need.
