any hope for this fallen XJ?
hey guys.. bit of bad luck last sunday (on my bday lol).
was headed to a friends house and an f150 pulled out in front of me on the highway; i hit him doing 50, skidded across the road into oncoming traffic and hit a volvo head on.
the jeep was towed away and i'll be talking to the the f150's insurance adjustor tomorow to find out what theyre going to do since he was found at fault for the accident.
here's some pics of the damage, my question is, do you guys think it's totalled, and if so, is there a chance it's fixable myself with junkyard parts?
im worried the frame may be bent because of the pushbar on the front.. i was a little foggy in the head when looking over the damage after the accident, but i seem to remember the dashboard and center console being a little crooked.
the jeep's got sentimental value, so id really like to save it if at all possible.. based on the damage, does it look save-able?

I doubt it. With a collision like that the unibodys probably haywire. But I'd imagine the f150s I durance will give you way more than the jeeps worth. So you may be able to get a all together better jeep.

ya it was a lousy bday but at the end of the day i was still alive haha.
no major injuries even tho i wasnt wearing my seatbelt :X
the driver of the volvo went to the hospital but she's ok.
i definitely plan to get another XJ as soon as possible.. and it will definitely have a beast pushbar on the front, that thing did some work !!
all that mess of the front end, and that bar is the only thing still there :P
and maybe a train horn for those less attentive drivers out there -__-

Looks like your bumper just cut right through the front end of that ford.

I have to agree, your door seams seem to be overlapping. Unibodies are meant to compress and distribute force from front to back. She is unfortunately toast, and not safe to fix. Glad to hear you are ok, and I have to get me one of those bumpers, that saved your butt.
