I like my 959, easy to mod. Lots of power, sounds great on AM, with a little work it can be really good on Side band too.

Got a used Palomar 225 on the way. Going to have my radio worked on by Chris Holland at "The Radio Shop" in Ontario, Ca. heard really good things about Chris and his shop. Once everything is together I'll come back.

We really need a CB Radio section on this forum.

mehh, i already asked the question, they don't care.. probably cause there's no money in having one or there just to frackin lazy to take the 2 mins to create a sub forum, but whatever. you might wanna check out www.cbradiotalk.com they don't bomb people with "use the search stupid" in every new post.
ive been to Chris's shop in Ontario, he dose do good clean work, just be cautious about his meters, most cb techs meters are more then generous when giving pep watts to show off how many watts a radio they tuned can do.

I'm having a hard time trying to figure out where to mount this palomar so its easily assessable yet not in the way of anything. Where have you guys mounted your linears?

I have mine between the passenger's seat and console, attached with velcro. Its only a small 180watt and fits nicely with hardly any interference.

need to be creative, i have my cb, 2m and my amp all on the passenger side console. so there is enough room. and the cobra 25 is smaller then the galaxy 959 that i run, and if i have enough room you should.

My 25 takes up all the room on the passenger side of the hump. I'm thinking of putting the palomar on the hump behind the armrest in back.
