If you are going to use an impact, you need a decent sized compressor, even with a tank. They use a lot of air. My OBA uses a Sanden compressor and runs one well.

Ya my sanden runs the my impact good,its funny I setup my OBA this last weekend and I have already used it 3 times- but my jeep hasn't left the garage ha ha. Poor craftsman compressor sitting in the corner.

I have a high rev hooked up to my compressor clutch wire. I can fill four tires from 0 to 34 psi in under 4 minutes and have the compressor cycle.
