I have been working on an alternator relocation bracket myself. You will actually need to fab a pair of brackets, one for each end. It is super simple to do though.

A lot of people just use the factory alternator bracket and grind the ac mount and the alt mount until they fit flush with each other and then drill holes and bolt them together. To me, that is hack, no offense to anyone who has done it that way, but I simply would not feel proud to know I did that... I like to take pride in my work

I agree. Not sure what way I am going to mount the bracket yet. I am going to try to make my own design mainly for fun of it.

You don't NEED AC to defrost the windows, but it works better if you have it. Which is why a lot of newer cars turn on the AC with the defroster. It dehumidifies that air which is why you see driping ACs in cars and houses.

Speeds up the process by blowing drier air across your windows than regular old warm air.

$40 for the setup. It would save alot of time trying to make one..

Why bypass? Why not convert to on-board air?

Because the compressor isn't working or this wouldn't be a topic. Why not just hit the jy and get a bracket/pulley from one with no A/C? I have one (one of many) I bought as a rollover for parts that has this setup.
