Abs common in xj's?

The only way that could happen is if someone swapped the axle. Even so I doubt the ABS would work anymore.

ABS is not very common on XJs at all. Maybe 10%. ZJs and WJs however I see it all the time at the JY

Look in the fuse box in the passenger side of the engine bay. Theres a fuse in there for the ABS LIGHT. Look at the diagram. My light was on too. Now its all good.

My 98 XJ is also a Government Jeep. Was a game wardens. I have power windows, doors, mirrors, had a vinyl floor (now bedlined), heated mirrors, cruise, Ext idle switch, ABS, Police Pkg, Tow Pkg, and Up Country Pkg.

The ABS is crap. Ive had the Jeep skid quite a few times. One day ill just rip the whole system out.

My first XJ, a '92 Limited (civilian) had ABS. I hated it when I was running a daily newspaper route. I'd skid all the time when I'd go to pull up to someone's newspaper tube. When I was looking for my next XJ, non-abs was a point in the plus column.
