Dude you are gonna be a W-2 soon. Pilots don't drive XJ's. Might as well go ahead and get a Landrover. Just kidding. I got an 87 and for trail it might be worth it, the 2 door would kinda put me off but if it had the 44 in the rear it would be worth it. And definently check the whole underneath for rust.

HAHA! This pilot drives XJ's! I should make CW2 in Feb. but I got a wife and bills! lol! I got the XJ bug when I was in high school, ooohhh about 10 yrs ago, and I never got over it! I need to find a sticker for my XJ that says "My other vehicle is a Blackhawk" lol! You'd be amazed at how many guys I know that drive wranglers down here. It's crazy. There are a couple of XJ pilots down here too, but you give a young kid fresh out of high school or college $3K a month and a big ego telling him he's gonna be a pilot and you'll be shocked at what he will buy! lol! When the new camaro came out I saw 5 of them on post in ONE DAY! Not to mention the countless Chargers, Challengers, and the 4dr Wranglers are plentiful, lol. And people say the economy is bad...

Oh and about the 2 dr, I'd kinda like that so I could rip out the rear seat and then fab up some way to move the front seat back further. I'm 6'4" so I need all the leg room I can get. Hence the Blackhawk.

I know what you are saying, I am 6'3" and I hate going on maintenance flights. Good luck with flight school.

Ha! For the beginning of flight school we had to fly the TH-67 which is basically a civilian OH-58 (bell jet ranger/bell 206) I have over 100 hrs of being crammed in that little thing. I think it's funny because I'm medically disqualified to fly the Kiowa but they made me train in the TH-67, lol!

So you've been in 9yrs, why haven't you gone to flight school?

I dislike sitting for 6 to 8 hours straight. I kinda enjoy being a mechanic more than I thought I would.

So...I just talked to this chick who has a 95 2 dr xj that the rear top has been chopped off of and a roll bar was welded in. It's an I4 with the ax-5 and 2wd. 172,000 miles. I offered her $200 and my old 32" flat screen, not lcd or plasma but the huge ones, lol. Her response was, "How fast can you get here to take it?" LOL! Now all I have to do is convince my wife to let me go pick it up! HAHAHA!

This guy doesn't really know anything about Jeeps let alone XJ's so he has no idea what kind of axles are on it. He doesn't have a digital camera to take pics. I suppose I could try to describe what the D44 axle looks like to him but that would be a pain. Besides, most of the research I have done brings me to the conclusion that the D44 was only offered on XJ's with automatic transmissions.
