i want to see what you guys think with 6.5 of lift
do you wish you went smaller?
what are the disadvantages?
i have had 2 XJ's with 4.5 of lift and i am currently building another one. i am thinking 6.5 this time as i want to build the axles and go with 35's this time.

I love 6.5 inches. I was able to run 33's without any fender trimming.
Perfect height. Puts the top of my Jeep at the height of most full-size pickups.

if you want to save your fenders (choose appearance over function) you will need a taller lift
I have yet to find a reason to use anything other than a 3.5" 4.5" or 5.5" lift
I'm currently using 5.5" on 37's and it's perfect. don't make it harder on yourself. just run a 4.5" lift and cut your fenders

I've had my 6.5" LA lift for 3 years now and I love it! I'm so glad I went with it instead of getting a smaller lift and not being happy and incrementally working it up to 6.5".
In truth, it's over all about the same as a 4.5" lift as far as the top of the jeep goes, but it shows it's 2" advantage on the UNDERSIDE of the rig... Over the rocks.
I say do it and don't look back! I also run wheel spacers which I also love.
