ok i was debating on building an engine block table out of an old 4.0 block i have, and was wondering what color, if any, the 4.0 blocks came from the factory.

 

I always thought they came **** rust brown and greasy straight off the assembly line?

paint it whatever color matches your drapes

 

thats what i thought thats what all 4 so far have been hence why i asked.

 

I've always liked yellow. if I ever do a stroker it's going to be yellow with a black valve cover gasket, royal purple oil filter, and shiny stainless intake and exhaust.

that would make for a great garage piece

paint it black. black has useful properties as a color, as well.

 

AMC Blue or black are my votes. Mind you I have a soft spot for Caterpillar New Yellow.
