im using the km2's on my dd only in a 33x11.5 size
they work good i mean im not in it for gas mileage and i cant complain about them
just can get a little loose on the wet roads but to me its fun to slid a little

A/t's are a little cheaper(20$ per tire?) and handle slightly better. they are pretty quiet and wear decent. they are decent offroad but in the mud, you'll have slicks before you can say the word mired. the bfg mt's are a little louder but not bad for an M/t. Theyre pretty versatile offroad. they wear decent for an m/t but not as good at the a/t. road manners are good except in a thin layer of snow or ice due to lack of siping. For a DD I'd go with the a/t's unless you plan seeing alot of mud.
now I know you want bfg comparisons, but you might want to look into cooper discoverer stt or Goodyear wrangler duratracs. the stt's wear rediculously well prolly better than the bfg a/t, they're siped for improved wet and snow traction, and keep right up with a bfg MT offroad. the duratracs are similar, don't wear quite as good but still great offroad and ona the best snowtires out the today.

Are you running 16" wheels? I Thot km2 only came in 10.5 and 12.5 for a 33" tire? I might be wrong I guess.
at's will drive great. mt's will get louder and louder as they wear (as will any big lug mud tire). if you are going to hit some serious mud pits i would go with the mt's. if you anticipate only small mud puddles on the trails go with the at's.

I had BFG ATs on my '86 F150 and loved 'em. They were excellent in the snow and on wet roads, never got noisy, and had long tread wear.
You might want to look at the Firestone Destination MTs. They have the more aggressive tread. My '98 F150 (2wd)had Firestones on OEM and I was hoping that they would be recalled/replaced during the Exploder/Firestone controversy, but they weren't. I ran 'em 73K and only replaced 'em because I got a flat rear and broke a belt in a front one weekend on a rough, rocky road. They still gripped well in the wet despite the mileage and their age(10 years!).
We ran a set of Destination LEs on the XJ Sport and they were fine for 50K miles when they got replaced for inspection.
BFG is owned by Michelin and Firestone by Bridgestone.
