Easy way to deal with it is to take the "guts" out of the donor vehicle's prop valve and install into the xJ.

i didnt do the prop valve on mine, and the rear discs notably improved my brake power. as well as bleeding the whole system
i plan on doing wj brake in the future, but you can also swap in a durango master cylinder. has a .25" bigger bore, adding more braking power, i will eventualy have this to

Use quality pads and rotors, and the rear disc swap. Your looking at around $400-500 and good braking. Much cheaper than majority of the front big brake kits out there
Please excuse me for my ignorance but what all am I looking at needing for the rear disc swap and what all years and models can I get them from? Is it best to use the used salvage yard parts or buy new? Can someone lead me in the right place to make sure I get quality parts? Also what pads and rotors for the front and where do I buy from? Thanks in advance for all the help, I really want this cherokee to be done right, it was a long/patient search for me to find this nice of a dying breed and I want it to be done right and last for years to come.
