^^ KJ's are a flop unfortunately. Sure there are quite a few lifted, and theres even KJ Overlanders Club, but overall, not many people are choosing them for a build. Infact, Rustys Offroad is discontinuing it's KJ lift kits. I personally like them, and if they came with a real axle and a real motor, I would own one.
Be interesting to see what happens to the KKs when we have a few more years of em. The KJs, maybe not. My point stands that when they get more years on them and the prices fall, people will lose the argument of "overpriced," at least.
I WOULD like em to not be IFS but honestly the more I look at the KK the more I like what I see, even for the price new.

Even the new 2011 Wranglers look almost like a hummer now. Maybe the Jeep manufacturer got tired of the compete with GM Hummer and designed them to look alike. http://autovariouscar.com/wp-content...gler-pic-2.jpg
Isn't Hummer being discontinued? I heard pontiac is too.
I'd take this Wrangler over the new ones anytime.

I kinda like the new JKs. My friend convinced the Chrysler dealership he was going to buy a 2011 Grand, so he could test drive one
Him and the test drive guy wanted to see how it does off road, so he took it out to our little playground a few miles from my house to climb some hills. Even with street tires it did near as well as our XJs without the hill climb assist, and with, it did better than the XJs do with street tires. Of course hill climbs isn't like crawling rocks or mudding. The WK will always look like a minivan to me.

Can you wheel the newer Jeeps? Definitely! Are they more expensive? Sure. What was the sticker price on your Jeep when it was new?
Give the new jeeps 10, 15, 20 years and you'll be buying them just as cheap and then getting 3rd party parts to wheel them.

Yeah, they're expensive as hell now. Since when has Jeep ever been cheap? Surplus government Jeeps in the 50s or 60s?

"...However, major changes were underway with a new executive, Wolfgang Bernhard, who was known as a "cost-slasher" nicknamed "whirlwind", came from Mercedes-Benz to turn around Chrysler. "One of the first moves Bernhard made when he came to Chrysler in 2000 was to help kill the Jeep Cherokee, an aging, somewhat bland SUV." Thus, the (XJ) Cherokee line was replaced in 2002 by the Jeep Liberty (KJ) , although it is called the "Cherokee" in most foreign markets...."

And here lies the reason behind the death of the xj and birth of girly jeeps.

I viewed a Jeep KKs, AKA Liberty 2011, and they look almost like a updated XJ of what it would look like in today. http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&q...w=1259&bih=823
