what does everyone think about the quadra-lift system in the new 2011 grand cherokee

there is 4 levels at which the truck lifts itself to, 1" aero mode, 1.5" normal ride height,2.8" offroad 1 mode, and 4.1" offroad 2 mode

i think that is awesome! but i wonder if this will get in the way of being able to install a lift kit

It's a nice package that's not for the hard-core off-roader, and isn't suited for a lift kit. Anything can be lifted though.
IMO anyone that buys that vehicle and decides to install a lift kit knows they'll void the warranty and won't be concerned about the factory system. They'll obviously have money to burn and couldn't care less that it's the wrong choice of vehicle to lift. It would be their choice though.

I think I like and I don't normally like the new jeeps, but this one I approve of.

creative idea but well need to wait for these to come out and see how many probelms ppl have with them comparted to the numbers sold overall. also the 2011 GC looks to much like a mini van and too luxurious for a jeep. its nice but IMO its too nice to wheel.

it is too nice to wheel! i am glad this thread went this way! too many forums have people in them complaining that the transfer cases aren't manual and the hubs aren't manual and that it has coil springs or it rides 'too nice' and it's not boxy enough and X, Y, or Z is just going to break all the time because the design isn't 30 years old and so on. too many people want jeep to just make the CJ and the 4.0 for ever and i'm sorry, it's just not going to happen. i think the new suspension system is awesome! it's not made for tons of flex but it will give u more ground clearance then 99% of any driver will EVER need. i think it's great!!
