2001 Cherokee Sport question

Suddenly yesterday, my wife's hatchback on her 2001 Cherokee Sport won't unlock (with the remote or key) Any suggestions?

Mine is doing the same thing, from what I understand the linkage becomes loose. You have to pry the panel back and open it by hand. Than you can pull the panel completely off and repair it.
