Default 2000 xj posible lift kit soon?

so i have a 2000 xj and id like to put a lift kit into it. the only things on this vehicle that are not stock is the radio that came with the car and the front bumper got taken off. id like to go with a 3 inch lift kit but i dont have $300 to spend on it. does anyone know of any websites with a decent cheap lift kit? i know that seems like im asking alot, wanting a good lift kit for cheap, but id like to start this project soon so im trying to get ideas.

No such thing as a Good & Cheap Lift Kit.
You can have one or the other....but not both.

Save your money until you can do it right.

I was in the same boat. I have the same xj.

I went with a 3" BB for the front. It measured out to be a little over 2.5in of lift. I first went with long shackles in the rear. But I did not like the loss of clearance the long shackle makes. So now I opted for long 2.5in helpers. Don't really like these either but they work, and its been lifted for almost a year now. No problems.

I run 32" tires with a little work on the suspension you can get it to flex great, and wheel pretty darn good.

Yes I would eventually like full leafs in the rear. But not important right now. What I have works fine to be truthful.

Since I went cheap, I have learned a lot as to what I eventually want. If I would have spent a lot of money on a 3in lift it would have been wasted. Because now I want something a little different.

I say go with a cheap BB like you are thinking and don't look back. You just may find yourself going another route on down the road.

Autozone carries long shackles to match the above spacers, thats what I origionally did.
